During my weekly “field trip” with my sponsor, Mrs. Hilinski, we discussed the different aspects of my project and the topic for my research paper. Mrs. Hilinski came up with a couple of ideas for my presentation and for my paper for example, she wanted to know if I wanted to make April my last visit to the Garden Project. I explained to her how I wanted to continue visiting the Garden Project simply because I will have more information for my presentation at the end of the year. I believe that visiting that Garden Project will enable me to obtain as much information as possible for my presentation and for my research paper as well. Although my paper will be done before my final visit to the Garden Project, I think that my continuing my visit to the program will allow me to have a better understanding of social work and horticultural therapy.
I always thought that once you visited the Garden Project it would "hook" you. I think it is important for you to keep going. It will show Ms. Priscilla that you are dedicated to her project and not just using her and the participants solely for your project. Also, it will truly give you insight into maybe starting a project like this of your own and whether or not you want to do this for a career.
ReplyDeleteI agree w/ Moreland! The more visits in the warm weather, the better---digging in the dirt is where it's at!
