"Aint Nothin For Dreamers But Dreams" ~ Sandra Lue Alvis

"Aint Nothin for Dreamers but Dreams" ~ Sandra Lue Alvis
This is a quote from my grandmother that I will continue to acknowledge for the rest of my life. I believe this quote is talking about all of the people in the world that have dreams but never allow those dreams to become actions. Those "dreamers" will continue to dream rather than take action because they have no idea what a simple dream can become. I on the other hand, would rather be a person that has a dream that can be turned into a reality merely because I know a simple dream can be the one thing that can change the mantality of man and cause an overall new outlook on life itself.

"Missing Moreland" :(

I was going to title my meeting with my sponsor “Mingling with Moreland” but, unfortunately my mentor was absent today. Instead of becoming discouraged, I decided to write about the mini powwow sessions that we’ve had during the week. For example, while in my A.P. History class Mr. Moreland and I discussed my meetings with my sponsor and my field trip to the Garden Project this weekend. With this being said, we’ve come up with a couple of ideas that will help make my project a complete success. We both agree that my presentation should be something that involves the audience as much as possible so they don’t begin to feel as if my presentation is something mandatory. I believe that once the audience is involved in my presentation, they will be more comfortable and willing to listen to what I have to say while I present. I’m sure that when Mr. Moreland comes back on Monday we will have many more things to talk about due to the fact that I’m going to the Garden Project this weekend. Until then, I’m “Missing Moreland”.

  2. Catchy title! Although "My Missing Mentor Moreland" would have been a tad bit better (HA!)But as you already know, Moreland is my mentor too so I need to catch-up with him when he comes back on Monday.

  3. Well, I'm glad you didn't let Moreland's absence discourage you, Naleah. I hope you two get a lot done next week.
