During my meeting with my sponsor earlier today, Mrs. Hilinski and I discussed my presentation and my thesis statement for my research paper. Mrs. Hilinski thought that it would be a good idea to get the audience involved by allowing them to do an activity that would make them feel comfortable while I present. She also suggested that I use the concept of the Garden Project as some what a metaphor for the growth of the women that are involved in the program. We talked about using the Garden Project as the meat and potatoes of my paper and finding other things that would contribute to the completion of my presentation and my research paper. During our meeting, Mrs. Hilinski and I also discussed other ideas that will remain a surprise until the day of my presentation. I am looking forward to beginning my paper so that I can use it to help come up with more ideas for my presentation. I hope that my presentation will be all that I dream of it being and much much more.
I'm intrigued with how you will dovetail the research paper with the project. Still thinking of Emerson?
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited to see what surprises you have for us and I'm glad that you have so much passion for your project. Good luck Naleah! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the garden idea. Since you are a quote type of person I would like to marry the two. Remember, "You reap what you sow," and you are a good person so you should expect good things. BTW this blog is a little old.
ReplyDeletePerfect metaphor. People are like plants. We need to be nurtured and fed to grow into something useful.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have had the chance to see the winter/dormant stage, and will see the spring/new growth stage of this garden. I think it will help you to further the metaphor of nurturing ourselves/each other.
